Around a table, we express our gratitude that God offers us a welcome. That God says, Come in, sit down, eat – I have prepared a place for you at the table. There is no threat, no raised eyebrow, no secret password.
We come together
because things are not right
because we don’t know what to make of the world
because we are bewildered
because we need shelter …
I thought this psalm was pretty appropriate for the place I work. It’s set for collective reading with some added bits to allow people to identify themselves more in the psalm. Psalm107
